Weale vs Ricardo : The Reckoning
After seeing Ricardo play at both the Bristol City and Coventry games, I would like to draw a few conclusions that I have made. Firstly, I do not in anyway condone the chanting of Weale during matches while ricardo is playing, it’s disrespectful and tantamount to booing in my opinion. Ricardo’s distribution is very good for a keeper and certainly in keeping with Sven’s philosophy at Leicester. His shot stopping is also good, smothering balls well and keeping hold of them. The main reason most City fans have a problem with him is that he cannot deal with hardly any high balls or handle a ball under pressure. Instead of a Chris Weale punch, Ricardo merely flaps at the ball, often leading to a goal or a chance for the opposing team.
Chris Weale has his good days and bad days at the office, however his good days vastly outweigh the bad. Some have criticised Weale for his poor distribution, preferring the lofted ball upfront rather than the short pass or throw. However with the arrival of ball playing defenders such as Van Ahnholt or Bruma, surely Weale can be trained into distributing the ball to one of these players instead of the long pass Pearson signed him for.
While I hold no grudges against Ricardo, I think that his style of play does not suit British football, physical as it is. In the long run, I would like to see Chris Weale back in the side, if not only for his skills but for some unity amongst the fans. After all, who likes to see the people sitting around them jeering their own players especially when we are playing as well as we are currently (today’s result notwithstanding!)

Now I know it doesn’t seem like I am the type of person to be listening to some phat dancehall beats, but this is a damn good song. The original I don’t particularly like but this remix is quality. Diplo and Switch certainly have a fantastic vehicle for music in Major Lazer. Strange that two white men are making some of the best dancehall tunes in recent years!

Just looking through people albums on Picasa. Can’t quite believe I didn’t get a haircut for my sixth form prom, though red hair dye faded doesn’t look half bad! Had my hair dyed red twice I think a couple of years ago, just to see what it looked like. Certainly made me stand out, and I did enjoy having my hair a different colour. Might do it again someday, need an app or website that lets you see your hair in different colours

Football Manager
Currently in deep in a huge FM2010 session. FM11 demo comes out thursday, and I want to finish this season tonight.
So now another weekend

Staying up late
Tomorrow, or today, I am doing a 12 hour shift. Not so bad you might think, but I am doing 8pm til 8am. Footwear is getting all new kit, and so it is up to me and one other colleague to clean up after a load of contractors. So in order to prepare myself for this, I am trying to stay up as late as I can so I can sleep for as long as possible.
I was completely shattered about 11pm time, but I kept on pushing through for that 2nd wind. Now I have iTunes 10 to play with until about 4am, when I will finally retire. Last time I did a Through The Night (fancy talk for the night shift) I started at 7pm, first yawn was at 11pm, then I missioned through til about 4. Had my last break and instead of sitting down, I ran to my car to get a CD. This for some reason fired me up bigtime, and the last 3 hours flew by, mainly due to other people being there to talk to. Now it’s just me and somebody else, and a load of strange shop fitters. Fingers crossed I don’t pass out, and I have got some canned Starbucks Milky Espresso to hopefully pep me up.
